Members and friends of South Maroubra SLSC are invited to attend our annual Sportsperson Luncheon being held on Sunday 24th January commencing at 12.30pm.  Guest speakers include Sammy Burgess (and Brother) and Madge Maquire (Souths), Neill Payne and his leading Jockey Adam, James Maloney (Sharks), Mike Whitney and entertainer Amber Lawrence.  MC is the one and only Steve 'Chimes' Gillis.  Cost is $100 pp includes lunch and beverages.  To book your ticket or table of 10 call our club office on 93140070 or email info@southmaroubraslsc.com.au.  Please support our clubs major fundraising day.  

Attached within this article is a list of all members and their patrol hours for competition eligibility.  Under 15 and Active members need to have completed a min of 25 hours whilst Active Reserve members need to have completed 12.  These requirements need to be completed by 31st December.  This report was formulated on patrol data up to 18/1/2016. 

Sunday 20th December

9am - Nippers fun christmas events followed by a visit from Santa, BBQ and some sweet treats for the youngsters.

12 noon - Snr club Scramble - Heritage Room.  Food, Drinks and Live Entertainment.  1pm - Battle of the Boats and BOM challenge to our Patrol Teams in the Santa Relay.  Who will end up with Bragging Rights and take home the trophy.  Prizes up for Grabs.  Great afternoon of entertainment.  All members and supporters welcome.

A HUGE achievement with our Junior crew winning the open A grade men's division at Warriewood Boat carnival last weekend winning the A Grade pointscore with two seconds and two first placing rows.  We have been advised not since 1964 has a Junior Crew won an open division at a Sydney Carnival.  Congratulations to the crew and to sweep Phil Stivano and special thanks to our boat sponsor BISLEY.

Sunday 20th - 9am at the club is your last opportunity to do your Bronze Medallion or SRC proficiency.  

The results from our recent golf day.  Winners were the Souths Junior Team captained by Juniors Vice President Mick Fisher.  Runners Up were the Pollack Cops Team followed by the Bradmans  Vets Team captained by Johno.  Nearest the Pin - 5th Akmad John Penissi, 8th H. Idle, 11th M. Yates and the 17th was Dino (via a miss hit!).  Thank you to the days sponsors - Maroubra Seals Club and Souths Juniors, Campbells Meats and Bisley Workwear.  Special shoutout to club members Jack Shaw, Paul Stretch Fownes, Lionel Roser and Peter Bulldog Murphy for their assistance in organisation and assisting on the day.

Being held on Saturday 5th December 2015 commencing at 9am.  Attached to this article is the carnival flyer and program.  Carnival is for U8 to U14's.  Entries are now open and cost $15 per competitor and close on Friday 27th November.  Late Entries $20 per competitor taken on the day of the carnival.  Thanks to South Sydney Juniors the carnivals major sponsor.

A few amendments have been made to the seasons Patrol Roster and Patrol Teams.  These are attached to this article.  Please ensure that you update your diary from Version 2 of the patrol roster.

This seasons Snr Club Champos will be held on Sun 6 Dec, Sun 7th Feb and Sun 20th March.  Club Champos are open to all 13 year olds and older members that are current proficient active members.  8am report in the clubhouse  Horizons Lounge with Phil Dutton and Andrew Wem - your Competition Director and Assistant.

There is a DQ protest going on for the Gold Medal in the Male Mass - fingers crossed.

So far this morning, South Maroubra IRB team has qualified for 3 Aussie finals later today

Congratulations to the IRB Team that took out 2nd place in the NSW IRB State Championships pointscore last week at Mollymook.  Results are attached to this article.

Members are invited to attend our annual Surf Club Presentation Evening being held on Saturday 25th July in the clubhouse Horizons Lounge commencing at 6.30.  

Attached is our Presentation Night Flyer.  To allow for catering preparations we do require members to pay for their tickets prior to the event. 

Tickets are $30 per person and include Evening Meal, Presentation, Entertainment and Lucky Door Prize.

The night will include presentation to our 13yrs and above membership of award certificates, 100% patrol efficiency awards, Officials, Coaches & Competition Medallist recognition and other special club awards.

The clubs AGM will be held on Sunday 26th July 2015 commencing at 2pm in the Horizons Lounge of the clubhouse.  At the AGM we will elect this coming seasons club Office Bearers, adopt the 2014-15 Annual Report and celebrate our seasons achievements.
